Treasure Hunt at the Franklin Free Library!

 

Ongoing until April 2nd! Sheamus and Sean, the Library Elves, have hidden clues around our library that lead to a hidden treasure! It’s up to you to find it, just follow the clues!

Stop in any time during our opening hours.

Best for ages 5-12

 

COMEDY FILM FESTIVAL

Join us and brighten up your winter days watching comedies at the library.  Scheduled films and dates are:

Wed. Feb 20 at 1:00 PM – Arsenic and Old Lace

Wed. Feb 27 at 1:00 PM -Spaceballs

Wed. March 6 at 1:00 PM  The Pink Panther

Wed. March 13 at 1:00 PM  Soapdish

 

READ TO VICTORY, A THERAPY DOG

We are very excited about our new therapy dog program.  Children ages 5-11 (or K-5) can come to the library and read to a certified therapy dog.  This is a great way to get children excited about reading.   Our next session is at 10:00 AM on March 2.

  • Children can bring their own book to read to Victory or use one of our books.  Registration is strongly advised as each child will be given a 10 minute slot.

TREE PRUNING WORKSHOP

Scott Moxham, a forsester and arborist from the DEC Stewardship Program will be giving a workshop on tree pruning on Tuesday march 12 at 1:00 PM.

The Franklin Board of Trustees will hold its next meeting on Thursday, April 25th, at 1:00 PM in the library.

The public is welcome to attend

 

Annual Meeting

Franklin Free Library’s Annual Meeting is to  be held on March 28th, 2019 at 1:00PM

Open to the public.

NEW THINGS AT THE LIBRARY

  • Check out our new books.   Xina and Wendy are always ordering newly released books. Look for them on designated shelves!
  • Did you know we have the NY Times on our computers?
  •  We now have DVD’s our patrons can borrow.  You can check out three dvds at a  time.
